Score 93/100 · Drink 2022-2036, Neal Martin, Sep 2020
The 2018 Chablis Vaudésir Grand Cru comes from 0.35ha of 48-year-old vines and sees 18–20 months’ aging on the fine lees. It has a lively, citrus-driven bouquet with pressed white flowers and touches of honeysuckle emerging over time. The palate is well balanced, with an edgy opening. Good depth here, and pithy like the Blanchot, revealing nectarine and grapefruit notes toward the finish. This is perhaps the best offering from Louis Moreau in this vintage.
