Score 90/100 · Drink 2005-2020, Robert Parker, Jan 1997
This thick, juicy, rich, black/purple-colored wine remains youthful. There is enormous richness and plenty of tannin in this well-balanced, full-bodied, exuberant, powerful example of Hermitage. It may turn out to be the longest-lived wine of recent vintages. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2020. Last tasted 5/96
