Tasting notes
(from a granite-soil vineyard near Serrieres) Vivid ruby. Smoky red and dark berries on the nose, with complicating notes of licorice and black olive. Tight and refreshingly brisk on the palate, offering lively black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors along with gentle smokiness. Finishes brisk, with firm mineral cut and very good clarity.

Bright ruby. High-pitched aromas of black raspberry, licorice, black pepper and crushed stone, plus a whiff of violet: smells like a Cote-Rotie. Sappy, racy and fresh, with sharply delineated flavors of red berries, cherry and floral pastilles. Conveys an impression of high acidity without coming across as shrill. Youthfully tight, finishing with very good purity and energy. Doesn't seem like a weak-year wine.
