Score 87/100 · Robert Parker, Apr 1996
The purple-colored 1994 Chauvin displays super-jammy black-cherries and abundant sweet, toasty oak. Opulent, medium to full-bodied flavors are low in acidity, but moderately tannic. This could turn out to be a sleeper of the vintage if the wine's quality holds up after its elevage and bottling. This estate should be watched closely on quality. All of the wines in this segment were tasted between March 19 and March 28 in Bordeaux. Most of the important wines from both the 1994 and 1995 vintages were tasted three separate times during my ten-day stay in Bordeaux.
