Tasting notes
Offering up aromas of pear, bread dough and white flowers, the 2023 Bourgogne Aligoté Raisins Dorés is medium-bodied, soft and round, with an unusually open, easygoing personality this year.

From 89-year-old vines planted at the very bottom of Volnay. Cask sample. Mid lemon. Mature nose of honey, ripe apple, quince. Moderately high, crisp acidity. Good length and weight. (MH)
Always the last to be harvested, the 2023 Bourgogne Aligoté Raisins Dorés was picked on September 23 and had been racked three weeks before my visit. It has a light resinous bouquet. The palate is well balanced with a crisp entry, touches of bitter lemon and orange rind and just a slight attenuation on the finish. Fine.
