Tasting notes
Plump strawberries on the nose, and tastes even plumper on the palate, but held to check by slightly raspy tannins. A wine of two parts at the moment, but it's coming together and I love its cheeky attitude. (TC)

Fresh purple with a black centre. Immediate power on the nose. Raspberry and cherry at optimum ripeness. Crunchy dark red fruit with a vivid finish, attractive medium density Savigny with considerable length. Looks good, and there is plenty of it – a 20,000 bottle cuvee.
The 2023 Savigny-lès-Beaune Village, which is completely destemmed, has a lovely bouquet with brambly red fruit tones and a judicious touch of sous-bois. The palate is nicely poised with clean, crisp black fruit laced with white pepper. It's very harmonious, gaining a little more roundness and fluidity toward the finish. This is a well-crafted Savigny.
