Score 90-92/100 · Jeb Dunnuck, Feb 2022
The 2020 Saint Joseph Deschants should be outstanding and is another 100% destemmed Syrah from this team that has plenty to love. Cassis, blackberries, violets, and wet stone all emerge on the nose, and it’s medium to full-bodied and has a vibrant, crunchy mouthfeel, good acidity, and solid length on the finish. My money is on it being outstanding.

A tank-aged blend of fruit from Mauve and Sarras, the 2020 Saint-Joseph Deschants features notes of crushed stone, raspberries, cherries and even a hint of violets. It's medium to full-bodied, supple and silky, with a finish that seems to fall off a bit quickly. Drink it young.
