Lots of obvious cedar pencil, dried herbs, and both red and black fruits emerge from the 2019 Château Tayac, a medium-bodied, enjoyable, charming Margaux that will keep for 10-15 years.

The 2019 Tayac feels richer on the nose compared to its showing in barrel, with copious black cherry and boysenberry fruit. The medium-bodied palate shows fine structure, good grip and ample freshness on the briny finish. Almost Pauillac-like. Good potential.

The 2019 Tayac is a bold, potent wine. Red/purplish berry fruit, blood orange, spice and sweet floral top notes drive this Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend. Tayac is not exactly subtle, but it does offer plenty of allure in its racy, extroverted personality.
