Tasting notes
A tank sample of the 2018 Lirac La Reine des Bois suggests yet another top vintage for this reliable cuvée. It's more "red fruits" than the 2017, but it's still fully ripe, with velvety tannins, ample weight and power on the palate and a bright, vibrant finish.

Vivid orange-pink. Deep-pitched cherry, red berry and lavender aromas, along with suggestions of blood orange and garrigue . Stains the palate with concentrated, mineral-tinged raspberry, bitter cherry and floral pastille flavors that show sharp delineation and spicy lift. In a distinctly powerful style but in no way lacking for finesse, delivering strong, red-fruit-driven thrust on an impressively long, mineral-tinged finish.
A very fresh and quite floral nose with white peaches and yellow melon, framed in pastry notes. The palate has a rich, juicy and layered feel with a vibrant kick at the finish. From organically grown grapes. Drink now.
