Score 96/100 · Drink 2030-2070, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Jul 2017

Golden in color, with an shimmer of apricots, the 2010 Grand Cru Altenberg de Bergheim opens with a terribly young, still phenolic, very clear and concentrated nose with mineral and spicy/oaky flavors. On the palate this is a highly concentrated, clear, elegant, fresh and tight Altenberg with good sweetness, piquancy and firm tannins. This wine will be great in 15-20 years, but I wouldn't touch it before. Remarkable finesse and concentration here. Tight tannins.
