Tasting notes
The sans soufre 2018 Ventoux Nature stays in concrete prior to filtration and bottling. A blend of 30% each Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah, with 10% Cinsault, it offers floral aromas alongside black cherries and hints of licorice. Medium to full-bodied, it's supple and silky in feel, but also perhaps shows just a bit of alcoholic warmth on the lush, lip-smacking finish.

Made and bottled with no sulfites, the 2018 Ventoux Nature offers a vivid purple color and is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, with 10% Cinsault. Violets, blueberries, ripe cherries, and exotic notes all emerge from this plump, rounded, nicely textured red that has ample fruit, plenty of mid-palate depth, and a great finish. This reference point estate in Ventoux continues to make a bevy of brilliant wines. While their more Grenache dominated releases ooze Provençal charm, I always find a more Northern Rhône like vibe in their Syrahs.
