Tasting notes
From a north-facing hilltop on the left bank of the Vienne. Soils here are 1 metre in depth. 8 months’ ageing in neutral wood. Aptly named. Easy, fresh, juicy and forward. Black fruit to the fore – not massively complex but extremely moreish and drinkable already. (AWH)

Young and vibrant in the glass, the 2022 Les Charmes is round and silken at first, coating the palate, but then here comes the freshness like a spring emerging from a rock. Its trickle of refreshment leaves the drinker wanting more. Vibrant flavors of black fruit like cassis and blackberry dominate. There are plenty of tannins here and they're nicely done. It's all primary and youthful but already together. It is judiciously made, long and full of fruit. The 2022 will improve with time.
