Tasting notes
A blend of 65% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2020 Reignac offers up a fruity, delicate bouquet with aromas of wild dark berries, cassis, spring flowers and plums mingled with delicate notes of oak. Medium to full-bodied, layered and seamless, it’s perfectly balanced with controlled power and a long, penetrating finish, making it a great vintage that is comparable to the 2019 vintage.

The 2020 Reignac has tightened up on the nose, blackberry and briary scents, just a light black coffee scent in the background, yet very discrete. The palate is medium-bodied with fine balance, white pepper infused black fruit, quite linear with satisfying freshness on the finish. Give it 2-3 years in bottle.
The 2020 Reignac offers plenty of up front appeal. Crushed raspberry fruit, mocha, dried flowers, espresso, licorice and tobacco are nicely laced together. The finish is a bit dry, though, which is uncharacteristic for a wine that is usually on the more exuberant side of things.
