Tasting notes
From the team at Tertre Roteboeuf, the 2022 Domaine De L’Aurage is rocking stuff, showing black raspberries, redcurrants, vanilla, chocolate, and white chocolate aromatics. Medium to full-bodied, round, and voluptuous, with velvety tannins and a layered texture, this is a beautifully made Castillon that’s going to evolve nicely for 15+ years.

The 2022 L'Aurage has a powerful nose with intense black cherry and raspberry coulis scents, without the pine I observed from barrel. The palate is medium-bodied with attractive black and blue fruit, hints of white pepper and cumin. It has a precise and intense finish that retains a sense of poise. This is superb.
100% Merlot. Cask sample. Rich, plush and flamboyant, marked by the house style. Red fruit with char and chocolate notes, the oak fully integrated. Full on the palate, the tannins ripe and round. Modern and stylised. (JL)
Aromas of dark berries, cherries, orange zest, espresso roast and toasty new oak introduce the 2022 Domaine de l'Aurage, a medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy palate that's already showing considerable complexity in its exotic, flamboyant style.
