Tasting notes
I very much enjoyed the 2011 Syrah, especially thanks to the baritone tones of dark spice, smoked bacon and ripe berry that sing from the glass. Background notes of cola, balsam herb and red rose help raise the aromatic bar. This wines does sit heavy in the mouth with sweet tannins and thick extraction that almost feels syrupy. It sees 18 months in barrel. Drink: 2015-2028.

An exotic melange of dark blue and black fruit, smoke, incense, licorice, violets and game wraps around the palate in Fontodi's 2011 Syrah Case Via. Rich and voluptuous, the 2011 Syrah shines in this intense, warm vintage. A long, beautifully persistent finish rounds things out in style.
