53% Pinot Noir, 47% Chardonnay. Blended from many grand and premier cru villages. No malolactic conversion. Disgorged September 2022. Dosage 7.5 g/l. From a cool, difficult vintage, this is a very attractively priced wine. Complex nose, with nutty characters complimenting floral notes. Rich and luxurious on the palate. Ready now. Excellent value. A bright medium yellow/silver color, the 2013 Champagne Le Vintage is 53% Pinot Noir and the rest Chardonnay. The nose is fresh and open, with beautiful notes of fresh shortbread, sweet, delicate lemon citrus or lemon meringue, and pretty, fresh strawberries. The palate is very well-integrated, suggesting a long life ahead. The mousse is pillowy and inviting, and it has concentration and freshness, with its Pinot Noir profile coming through. It has a wonderfully long finish, with chalky persistence that’s refined and pure. Drink over the coming 25 or more years. Bravo. Disgorged September 2022.

Full bottle 1,606 g. 53% Pinot Noir from Verzenay, Verzy, Bouzy and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ and 47% Chardonnay from Mesnil-sur-Oger, Cramant, Chouilly, Oger, Vertus and Trépail. 9 years’ ageing. Disgorged September 2022 with dosage 7.5 g/l. '100% NML' which I assume means no malo. Quite a deep pale yellow. Well-integrated nose with some evolution. Still quite youthful but with excellent potential. Real tension. I would ideally age this a little longer. But it's very well made. Great substance. (JR)

A blend of 53% Pinot Noir and 47% Chardonnay, the 2013 Brut Le Vintage from Champagne Lanson evokes aromas of orchard fruits, honey, lemon oil and spices mingled with herbs. Medium to full-bodied, tense and layered, it has well-integrated acidity, a tense, long mid-palate and a mouthwatering, spicy finish. Disgorgement: 7.5 grams per liter.
