Tasting notes
The 2019 Reserve Chardonnay features broad, robust layers, offering a weighty palate infused with oaked and sweet citrus, oatmeal, lemon yogurt and popcorn kernels. The wine delivers spicy notes with baking spices throughout the finish, complemented by succulent yellow apple tones. Crafted in a broader, more generous Chardonnay style, this wine balances richness and complexity. It fermented naturally in barrels, with 30% new French oak and 30% of the blend undergoing malolactic fermentation. Aged on the lees for 10.5 months, this Chardonnay is well-executed and embodies a luxurious texture and depth. Nicely done!

Aromas of green olive, white peach and dried lemon peel. Medium-bodied with an oily texture. Bright and fresh on the palate, with delicious mineral character. Succulent, with a mouthwatering finish. Sustainable. Drink or hold.
The 2019 Chardonnay Reserve, matured in 30% new oak for 10 months on the gross lees, has a taut, mineral-driven bouquet of orange zest, quince and light marmalade notes. The taut, linear palate has fine salinity and a very precise finish that is pure class. This is a riveting Chardonnay from DeMorgenzon, one of their classiest that I have tasted.
