Saturated ruby. Displays an array of mineral-accented red and dark berry preserve and incense aromas that are complemented by violet, smoky bacon and exotic spice flourishes. Youthfully chewy, densely packed and energetic on the palate, offering intense blackberry, blueberry, fruitcake, violet pastille and allspice flavors that spread out slowly with aeration. Closes on strong mineral and floral notes, showing superb clarity and discreet tannic grip, with solid thrust, youthful, gripping tannins and superb persistence.

Intensely perfumed, mineral-tinged blackberry, cherry and violet aromas are complicated by suggestions of licorice, earth and olive paste. Spicy and incisive in the mouth, offering gently sweet, smoke-laced dark berry preserve and spicecake flavors that deepen and spread out steadily on the back half. Smoothly marries power and finesse and finishes extremely long and spicy, with supple tannins and a repeating mineral flourish coming in late.
