Score 90/100 · Drink 2018-2024, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Aug 2016
Pale yellow. Peach, orange, spicy oak and grilled almond on the nose. A distinct step up in energy and lift from the Clos Saint-Félix, showing much more mineral spine to its lightly saline flavors of citrus fruits, hazelnut and spices. Very Meursault but in a firm style, with the backbone to evolve gracefully. Finishes with sneaky orange zest persistence.

(about 20% new oak): White peach and citrus scents on the nose, along with an obvious saline quality: in a fresher, higher-altitude style than the Clos St. Felix. Juicy and energetic on the palate, displaying vibrant lime and mineral flavors along with a riper hint of soft citrus fruits. Nicely rich in the middle palate.
