Mostly Chardonnay from Sanford & Benedict, but blended with smaller amounts of Roussanne and Marsanne, the 2021 Unanswered Prayers White is one of those riveting whites that brings incredible opulence and richness while staying light on its feet and balanced. Despite being largely Chardonnay (72%), it reminds me of a great Hermitage Blanc with its ripe quince and honeyed stone fruit notes that give way to more flower oil, green almond, and fresh croissants, with more classic Sta. Rita Hills minerality and salinity showing on the palate. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated, and flawlessly balanced, with good acidity and a mammoth-sized finish, it will blow you aways any time over the coming 7-8 years, and I certainly wouldn't be surprised to see this shine for well over a decade.

Another high point of the Fingers Crossed roster is the 2021 White Wine Unanswered Prayers, a Chardonnay-driven blend containing Marsanne and Roussanne sourced from the Sanford & Benedict and Bien Nacido Vineyards. The nose is round and decadent but retains impressive verve and clarity, layering tropical, waxy aromas with nutty, creamy undertones. The palate is full-bodied and opulent but displays a beautifully deft spine of acidity that carries through the rich, balanced, tangy finish. A centerpiece of the lineup, this should be a pleasure to track through the end of the decade.

The 2021 White Wine Two Become One is every bit as fabulous as it was from barrel. Rich, ample and full-bodied to the core, the 2021 is an exceptionally vivid, dramatic, large-scale wine.

A rich and exuberant white with notes of pineapple, peaches, dried mangoes, spices, salted cashews and cream. Full and dense on the palate, with a lot of energy, depth and layers of tropical fruit, nutty nuances and mild spices. Despite its richness, it appears very crafty and shows outstanding balance and length, with vivid, nervy acidity. A blend of chardonnay, marsanne and roussanne.
