Tasting notes
The most powerful of three single-vineyard Cabernet Franc-based wines in this series is the Tenuta di Trinoro 2021 Campo di Magnacosta. Aside from the very high 16% alcohol content, this wine is also very elegant and poised with a compact and dense quality of fruit and pretty mineral tones at the back of blackcurrant, toasted chestnut husk and earthy iris root. The wine is muscle and brawn, but it also reveals pretty elegance.

The 2021 Campo di Magnacosta is the softest of the three pure Francs in the range. It emerges from a 1.5-hectare parcel planted on an old, gravelly river bed. Black cherry, espresso, mocha, blackberry, lavender and dried herbs open effortlessly. This pliant, wonderfully expressive Franc has a ton to offer, starting with considerable immediacy and tons of sheer allure.
