Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2017 Vieux Château Saint André offers vague notions of warm plums, baked cherries and fried herbs with wafts of damp soil and fallen leaves. Medium-bodied, plush and nicely balanced, it has lovely restrained red and black fruit in the mouth and a soft-spoken finish.

The 2017 Vieux Château Saint André has a very attractive bouquet, a mixture of red and black fruit, _sous-bois _and cigar humidor scents. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannins, plenty of tarry black fruit countered by a fine bead of acidity and impressive oak integration on the finish. Recommended.
