Tasting notes
The 2017 Corton-Renardes Grand Cru is unbelievably polished. Corton-Renardes is often a bruiser, but not in 2017. Exquisitely perfumed and refined, the 2017 is so seductive. I can only imagine what the rest of the lineup holds as I taste it. Ripe red fruit, blood orange, spice, mint and sweet floral notes all come together in the glass. The structure and power of Corton-Renardes are very much present, and yet at the same time, the 2017 is airy and gracious.

The 2017 Corton-Renardes Grand Cru is a terrific success, offering up aromas of orange rind, red berries, spices and forest floor. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, supple and concentrated, with supremely velvety tannins, an ample core of fruit and a beautifully defined finish. Charming and succulent, this is a comparatively open, immediate rendition of Leroy's Corton-Renardes.
