Tasting notes
Diaphanous yellow-gold. Mineral- and spice-accented orchard, pit fruits and a hint of violet on the deeply perfumed nose. Densely packed yet lively as well, offering palate-staining nectarine, pear liqueur and Meyer lemon flavors that show outstanding clarity and solid back-end thrust. The floral and mineral notes build emphatically on the strikingly long, seamless finish, which shows outstanding definition and a late, sweetening touch of honey.

100% Viognier. Cask sample. Tasted blind. Noticeable bronzing in the glass. Honeyed, almost botrytic character on the palate, with baked stone fruits and sweet spice. Full and fleshy with lots of depth and concentration on the finish, and finishes with an interesting granitic note. (RH)
