Score 91/100 · Drink 2024-2034, Neal Martin, Sep 2022
The 2021 Pinot Noir Newton Johnson Family Vineyards was a very low yield due to the stressed vines following the drought. Aged in 29% new oak, it offers quite sensual, plush red cherries and crushed strawberries on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with a light spiciness on the entry, modest depth with decent grip towards the finish. This is what you might call a "solid" Pinot Noir that deserves a year in bottle.
