Score 87/100 · Drink 2019-2022, Mark Squires, Aug 2019
The 2018 Branco is a blend of 30% Códega, 20% Rabigato and 45% Viosinho, plus a dollop of Gouveio for the rest, aged for six months in 25% new French oak. It comes in at 12.8% alcohol. Light and fresh, despite the wood, this is an easy-drinking white (at least since it replaced the douRosa brand) that has a fresh feel with just a bit of distinction. There's not a lot of depth or power, but it tastes great. Drink it young for best results.
