Subtle stony citrus aroma. Pure fruit, a steely touch and extremely well balanced and persistent. Lots of tension and moderate intensity. (JH)

The 2018 Bourgogne Côte d’Or Cuvée Oligocène has a potent grass clipping and undergrowth nose that errs towards Sauvignon Blanc in style. The palate is nicely balanced with subtle tropical notes on the entry, lightly honeyed with hints of apricot on the finish.

A subtle core of ripe lemon, with all the minerality the name implies. Brisk with some tension hinting at a fair longevity. GV (TJ)
