Tasting notes
The 2019 The Twelve Rows Chardonnay comes from old vines in the heart of the Sanford & Benedict vineyard, and combines ripe California fruit with a backbone of graphite-like reduction. It fermented in barrel, underwent full malolactic conversion and was matured for 16 months in 33% new French oak. Its aromas are lush and open, offering white peaches, quince paste, saline and roasted almonds with honeyed undertones. The palate balances bright acidity and citrus, saline top notes with nutty bass tones, finishing uplifted, juicy and flavorful. 2,050 cases were produced.

The 2019 Chardonnay Sanford and Benedict Vineyard The Twelve Rows is a gorgeous, vivid wine. Dried flowers, tangerine oil, almond, crème brûlée and buttery notes infuse this oily, beautifully textured Chardonnay with tons of nuance. Medium in body and deep, the 2019 is wild, exotic and incredibly alluring right out of the gate.
