Deep orangey gold. Lightly furry edge but some grip and interest. (JR)

The 2018 Raymond-Lafon has a perfumed, floral bouquet with yellow flowers and apricot blossom infusing the very pure peach and quince aromas. The palate is has a touch more viscosity than other 2018 Sauternes, but there is sufficient acidity to counterbalance the richness, and just a touch of stem ginger mixed with marmalade to enhance complexity on the finish. Excellent.

The 2018 Raymond-Lafon is laced with orange confit, burnt sugar, spice, chamomile and lightly honeyed tones. This is a decidedly opulent Sauternes built on considerable texture. Plush contours build into the supple, creamy finish.
