Tasting notes
An organic blend of mostly Merlot with a smaller part Sangiovese, the Casaloste 2016 Inversus is a soft and richly textured wine with black cherry, blackberry, delicate spice and smoke. This generous wine weighs in with a mid-weight style that leaves room for ample freshness and pure fruit flavors. This is your quintessential white meat red and an ideal partner to roast turkey or chicken.

The 2016 Inversus, the estate's Merlot/Sangiovese blend, is quite beautiful. Naturally Merlot carries the blend, with the pedigree of the vintage playing an important role. A burst of dark cherry, chocolate, licorice, grilled herbs and menthol races across the palate. Inversus is heady and exuberant to the core, with all the elements very nicely melded together,
