Tasting notes
Also one of the wines from the new winemaking team, the 2017 Rosado is a blend of 60% Graciano and 40% Garnacha from a year marked by the frost that occurred on April 27, but the vineyard where these grapes come from was not affected. After 28 hours of maceration, the bleeding from the grapes fermented separately in seasoned 500-liter oak barrels, and then the wines were blended and put in barrique to age for 13 months. It has a bright ruby color—not the pale tones so fashionable lately—and a nose of red fruit, with good freshness and a serious profile, more like a light red than a white. It's tasty and serious and should develop in bottle, and it can be enjoyed with a great variety of foods. 2,000 bottles and a bunch of magnums were filled in December 2018.
