2022 Valtuille El Rapolao

The 2022 Valtuille El Rapolao comes from a plot they own, one of their oldest vineyards planted at a higher density, with a position and soil that favors open wines that are more approachable in warmer years like this 2022, which was also dry. The wine is rounder than other vintages and more approachable. It fermented with 30% full clusters with a 35-day maceration and matured in used 500-liter barrels for one year. It's a bit raw just now but should improve with some more time in bottle. 1,800 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2024.
