The 2022 Chablis Village is slightly better than the bottle tasted last year. Traces of yellow fruit mixed with limestone on the nose unfold nicely with aeration. The palate is fresh on the entry, quite saline, a little more viscous in texture than 12 months ago. Precise finish. Fine.

Fresh herby citrus but also a nice mealy/leesy note. More intense than many a 2022 Chablis, especially on the mid palate. Riper fruit balanced by crisp acidity. Needs time for the sweet-sour fruit/acid harmony to settle in. (JH)
