Tasting notes
The 2018 Mayne Lalande has a slightly smudged bouquet of marine-tinged black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with rather raw tannins, chewy and missing finesse on the finish. Too rustic in this day and age.

With a touch of salt to the medium-bodied, round, red fruits, the wine is bright with an herbal, olive accent in the finish. 88 Points
Coming from the Listrac region, which is located between Margaux and Saint-Julien, the 2018 Château Mayne Lalande reveals a ruby/purple color as well as attractive notes of spiced red and black fruits, cedary herbs, and dried flowers. Medium-bodied and lightly textured, it has a touch of dry tannin yet good fruit as well as length on the finish. It's going to drink nicely for 4-6 years.
The 2018 Mayne Lalande is absolutely gorgeous. It presents striking aromatics and a core of racy, delineated fruit, all in a mid-weight package that is hugely appealing. Crushed flowers, spice, mint and sweet tobacco come together effortlessly. This gracious, inviting Listrac will offer pleasurable drinking for at least a handful of years.
