The 2021 Côte Rôtie Bassenon is charming, with an easygoing, mid-weight style in its perfumed red fruits, savory flowers, spice, and subtle rose petal-like aromas and flavors. This medium-bodied Côte Rôtie is nicely balanced and has a supple, layered mouthfeel and fine tannins, with a rather short finish. It's well-made and enjoyable.

Score 87/100 · Drink 2023-2027, Nicolas Greinacher, Vinous, Mar 2024
The light- to medium-bodied 2021 Côte-Rôtie Bassenon is co-fermented with 10% Viognier. Circling the glass unlocks delicate red fruit aromatics, earthy gradations, cedarwood and fleshy undertones. Open-knit and approachable, the 2021 is framed by low levels of gentle tannins and concludes with passable length on the refreshing finish.
