The 2021 Pinot Noir emerges from confidential vineyards in Santa Maria Valley. It was fermented with one-third whole clusters and spent 20 months in 25% new French oak. On the nose, a combination of candied and savory aromas form against a backdrop of blue fruits and vanilla beans, developing herb, citrus peel and tobacco notes with time in the glass. It is texturally svelte and even-keeled, displaying a slightly sweet, red-fruited concentration that runs through the grippy, mineral-laced finish.
