Score 86-88/100 · Drink 2008, Robert Parker, Aug 1999
The spicy, soft, richly fruity, dark ruby-colored 1997 Barbaresco offers copious quantities of cherry, strawberry, and cassis fruit, dried herbs, and new saddle leather characteristics, but not much depth or intensity. It is good, but hardly inspiring. Drink it over the next 7-8 years. Importer: A Leonardo LoCascio Selection, Winebow, Inc., Hohokus, NJ; tel. (201) 445-0620
