Score 85/100 · Robert Parker, Apr 2006
The 2003 reveals dramatic levels of toasty new oak along with a weedy tobacco character, a pinched, narrowly constructed style, and a lack of charm and depth. Hopefully, it will flesh out over the next decade and offer more complexity as well as character.

Exceptionally green and lively on nose. In this vintage that comes as a welcome change (though not usually). Bit loose and full on the finish. All flashy upfront. (JR)
About the producer

La Louviere
Wine has been made at this estate since the 1300s, but its modern history begins when the Lurton family purchased it in 1965. The property was in disrepair, but the Lurtons have restored the château, winery and vineyards.
