Score 93/100 · Drink 2021-2040, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Oct 2021
The 2013 Saumur Champigny Le Clos includes the barrels from Les Poyeux, which wasn't produced due to hail damage. The wine shows a beautiful cherry color followed by a deep and concentrated yet also fresh and floral bouquet of red berries and cherries. Silky and elegant on the palate, with fine tannins and lots of energy and finesse as well as a brilliant fruit, this is a wonderfully pure and tensioned Le Clos with very good length.
