The 2020 Puygueraud Blanc has a fresh nose with peach skin, lanolin and light gooseberry scents that unfold nicely in the glass. The palate is well balanced and cohesive, with a fine thread of acidity. It just dips before the finishing line and lacks length on the finish.
The 2020 Puygueraud Blanc is bright, airy and easy to like. Lemon peel, flowers and light tropical notes all grace this attractive, understated white. The Blanc is ideal for drinking now and over the next year or two, while the flavors remain crisp.
The 2020 Puygueraud Blanc is full of lemon peel, almond, dried flowers, apricot and chamomile. Light and gracious, with pretty tropical overtones, it is impeccably rendered and all the elements are nicely balanced.
About the producer
The Thienpont family bought Ch. Puygueraud in 1946, running it as a farm until the 1980s when Nicolas Thienpont moved the focus to viticulture, with the first vintage in 1983. Based in the Francs Côtes de Bordeaux, the property comprises 47 hectares of vines, both red and white.
