Tasting notes
The 2021 Daugay offers up attractive aromas of minty berries, licorice and smoked meats, followed by a medium-bodied, ample and fleshy palate that's supple and charming, concluding with a somewhat carnal, wild finish. With more purity, it would score better.

This has a fragrant nose of walnuts, black berries, dried flowers and cloves. It’s medium-bodied, silky and polished, with fine-grained tannins and a long, elegant finish. Walnut notes stay with you. 57% merlot, 23% cabernet franc and 20% cabernet sauvignon. Drink from 2024.
The 2021 Château Daugay is a pretty, red and blue-fruited, floral barrel sample offering medium-bodied richness and depth, a terrific sense of balance and purity, moderate tannins, and a great finish. It's one of those seamless, elegant 2021s that’s going to drink nicely right out of the gate yet also evolve gracefully.
The 2021 Daugay has a simple blackberry and wild hedgerow bouquet, maybe just missing a bit of energy. The palate is medium-bodied with rustic tannins, but there is decent black fruit here and a fine, graphite-tinged finish.
