Lovely pure, scented nose combines very ripe pineapple, crushed stone and clove. Rich, fat and sweet but not particularly open today in spite of a honeyed element, as there's plenty of underlying stony minerality. Still, this 14%-alcohol wine finishes a tad warm, and it's less high-pitched than the Demoiselles, leaving me to wonder if it will gain with age or begin to lose its fruit.

Bright, pale yellow. Musky aromas of pineapple, crushed stone, vanilla and spicy oak. Juicy, stony and quite dry, displaying an almost painful combination of penetrating acidity and firm minerality. Except for the sexy oak tones, this reminded me of an Alsace riesling from the grand cru Schlossberg. Quite tactile and suave wine with a firm and very long finish that features lovely mounting fruit.
