Tasting notes
Another just about off-the-charts beauty, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard offers up a full-bodied, structured, flawlessly balanced style as well as lots of blue fruits, notes of violets, flowers, and crushed stone, silky yet building tannins, and a great finish. While this vineyard is a stone’s throw from Dr. Crane, it always yields a more mineral-driven, elegant wine, and this beauty excels on all accounts. I'd be thrilled to drink a bottle any time over the coming 20-25 years.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras gallops out of the the glass with energetic scents of blackcurrant pastilles, Morello cherries and blueberry pie, with hints of fragrant earth, chocolate box and violets. Tightly wound, fine-grained and lively in the full-bodied mouth, it has bags of crunchy black and blue fruits and a long, beautifully pure finish.
