Score 89/100 · Drink 1993-2001, Robert Parker, Feb 1993
The 1990 is the finest La Grave-Trigant-de-Boisset I have tasted. Deep ruby, with a fragrant bouquet of sweet black fruits, toast, and mocha, this voluptuously-textured wine gushes with fruit. Deep, juicy, and creamy, it makes for a gorgeously soft mouthful of wine. Anticipated maturity: Now-2001.

Stern tannins make for an intimidating impression. There is decent acidity and a nice spiciness, but where's the fruit?
