Not much on the nose, some dark plum fruit. Finely textured, lively and supple. Not very concentrated but suits the vintage. (JH)

Blackcurrant fruit. Medium tannin giving a chewy texture. Smooth, soft and well coiffured. Not hugely perfumed though, considering it's Margaux. (RH)

Dark cherry red. Oak spice to the fore. Vanilla and dark cherry fruit. Then unexpectedly fluid and bright on the palate. Fine, but slightly drying, tannins though quite juicy on the finish. (JH)
