The 2021 Corton Grand Cru Greves has a backward nose and is more surly than its peers; however, there is a coiled-up intensity in situ. The 22% whole bunches lend a light black pepper note. The palate is well balanced, with a little chewiness on the entry and fairly firm tannins. It might just need more complexity to fully develop on the finish. Fine.

Aromas of candied peel, dark berries, spices and forest floor introduce the 2021 Corton Grand Cru Les Grèves, a medium to full-bodied, layered and fleshy wine that's framed by sweet, powdery tannins. It's one of the broader-shouldered wines in the range this year.
