Tasting notes
White flowers, hints of chocolate, and plums are what you initially notice. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, soft, fresh, clean, and pure, with elegance, and lift to the sweet, cherries, cocoa, and mint in the finish. The wine was produced from 100% Merlot.

A juicy and dense wine with chocolate, berry and walnut character. It’s full and layered with a lovely texture and a long, flavorful finish. Chewy at the end, but polished.
Pretty high on the oak register, there are attractive Pomerol red and black fruits, touches of grilled caramel that also takes you into the appellation, although a little short on the finish.
The 2023 Sacre Coeur is a soft, open-knit Pomerol that will drink well right out of the gate. Crushed flowers, sweet red berry fruit, cinnamon and rose petal are nicely lifted in this mid-weight, pretty offering from Jean-Philippe Janouiex. Tasted two times.
