Tasting Notes
After the Domaine des Cambes, this is a real contrast, with a much darker profile. It’s full of plummy fruit with a spicy star anise and savoury, almost miso edge. There’s real finesse to the palate and tannins, backed up by rich, concentrated fruit. A significant step up in power, this is impressive and well balanced.

A small step up over the Domaine Cambes, the 2023 Roc De Cambes is medium to full-bodied and beautifully textured, with ample richness in its ripe red and black cherry fruit as well as chocolaty, leafy herb nuances. I love its balance, and it has beautiful tannins and a great finish.
Concentrated, round, and juicy, with depth, lift, energy, and vibrance which allows the layers of dark, red berries, spice, and herbs to shine. The finish displays the sweetness, as well as the brightness in the fruit in the mid-palate, which carries all the way though to the chewy, red berry finish. The wine blends 80% Merlot with 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. 14.5% ABV.
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2023 Roc de Cambes bursts with gregarious notes of juicy black cherries and black raspberries followed by hints of violets, tar, and wood smoke with a touch of garrigue. The medium to full-bodied palate is taut, with dense muscular fruit framed by firm grainy tannins and beautiful tension, finishing long and minerally. This is impressive!
