Tasting notes
The 2023 Lousteauneuf has an unappealing one-dimensional bouquet with simple black cherries. The palate is soft and plummy, simple black fruit with dry tannins poking out on the finish that does not entice the next sip.

Loads of ripe fresh, chewy, red fruits, licorice, spice, and tobacco leaf with a savory edge, and a chalky finish. Give it a year or two in the bottle, and enjoy it for a decade or so, after that.
The 2023 Lousteauneuf is deep garnet-purple in color. Notes of juicy raspberries and blackberries spill from the glass, plus hints of fallen leaves, lavender, and wild thyme. The medium-bodied palate is bright, pure, and refreshing, with grainy tannins and a savory finish. Nice! The blend is 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot.
Lively and densely packed fruit here with a dry, medium-bodied palate. A little chewy in the center-palate, showing firm tannins and a polished finish. Medium length.
