Tasting notes
There are roughly 2,500 cases of the 2023 Château Laforge, which comes all from the lower plain and more gravelly soils. It has a complex, medium-bodied, elegant, supple style with tons to love. Red and black fruits, savory herbs, flowers, and spicy notes all define the aromatics, and it has outstanding length on the palate.

With a spicy touch to the red fruits, incense, licorice, and flowers on the nose. Medium-bodied, fresh, bright, and fruity, the wine finishes with sweet black raspberries from start to finish. The wine blends 92% Merlot with 8% Cabernet Franc.
A blend of 92% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc, the 2023 Laforge has a pH of 3.75 and it is deep garnet-purple in color. It gallops out of the glass with powerful notes of black cherry preserves, blueberry pie, and fresh raspberries, plus wafts of dried roses, wild sage, and underbrush. Medium-bodied, the palate is so soft, silky, and refreshing, with perfumed red and black berry flavors and a fragrant finish.
This is structured and a little tight, yet with a fine texture to the tannins. Medium-bodied with a core of succulent fruit that turns linear and tight on the finish. A blend of 90% merlot and 10% cabernet franc.
